Watch "Don't Waste It!" The Daniel Morcombe Story

‘Don’t Waste It’ - The Daniel Morcombe Story, a powerful documentary film reflecting on two decades of child safety advocacy from The Daniel Morcombe Foundation.

This powerful 30-minute documentary honours Daniel’s legacy and educates teens on personal safety.

This film is quite different to all the others we regularly share with you.  Heritage Films has had the honour to produce Don't Waste It as part of the Foundation’s incredible 20-year celebrations. What an incredible legacy and what a wonderful way to honour Daniel, Bruce and Denise and the Foundation’s legacy for the way they have tirelessly worked to keep children safe.

Why “Don’t Waste It” matters

We believe stories have the power to open hearts, especially when they come from a place of honesty and courage. Don’t Waste It is one of those rare films that doesn’t sugarcoat life’s struggles but instead meets them head-on, inviting us to reflect, wrestle, and ultimately, hope. It’s raw, real, and deeply human, and we couldn’t be more honoured to be part of its journey.

At Heritage Films, we’ve always championed stories that matter, not just in terms of entertainment, but in the way they leave a mark. With Don’t Waste It, our role has been to produce this film and help carry this story to communities who need it, who might see their own experiences reflected on screen, and who might find strength in knowing they’re not alone. This isn’t just a release … it’s a ripple effect.

You’re part of that ripple. Whether you share the trailer, or simply take the time to watch, you become part of a wider story, one that reminds us all not to waste the moments that shape us, stretch us, and sometimes, even save us.
